Riverdale War Memorial

This memorial has the laser-etched images of those men who died in service to our country in time of war. Eight were killed during World War II and two in the Vietnam War. The dedication of the memorial was held on Sunday, November 14, 2004 with over 500 people in attendance.

Those attending the ceremony were 85 Veterans receiving service medals issued by Morris County, many of the family members of those veterans depicted on the memorial, and hundreds of residents.

Lawmakers who took time out of their Sunday afternoon to honor our veterans were Congressman Rodney Frelinghuysen, Assemblyman Joseph Pennachio, Freeholder Director Margaret Nordstrom, Feeholders John Murphy, and Doug Cabana.

Riverdale Governing Body: Mayor William Budesheim, Council President Joseph Falkoski, Councilpersons Garrett Astarita, Donna Bush, Paul Carelli, Ted Guis, Elaine Wetzel and Borough Clerk Carol Talerico.
